Who are these guys?
A boss once said McCann is built for problems.
So are we, which may explain why we rose through the ranks.
We’ve done some pretty big things for some pretty big brands over the past 20 plus years. We currently run the largest group in the New York office and are responsible for the agency’s two biggest new business wins of 2022 and 2023, Prudential and TJ Maxx.
But the thing we’re proudest of are the diverse teams we’ve built, and the talent we’ve mentored, along the way.
This site is a tiny sample of the work we’ve crafted with dozens of exceptional writers and art directors.
Danny Rodriguez
A first-generation Cuban American who is fluent in Spanish, Danny is an award-winning Creative Director. He’s crafted stylish, high-impact campaigns for Xbox, Coca-Cola, Wendy’s, Staples, Kohl’s, Verizon, MasterCard, Microsoft, Nikon and Office Depot.
His leadership on “Weight Watchers,” in particular, resulted in breakthrough creative that drove record sales.
In 2017, he teamed up with Larry, a friend and fellow McCann veteran. Together, their work has landed in culture, grown revenue and added to the agency’s trophy streak.
He began his career at Ammirati and Puris and Y&R, where he worked on Sony and KFC.
A graduate of Vassar College and The Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Danny lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and has a penchant for travel with his husband Oscar.
Larry Platt
Larry left publishing for the ad world when it dawned on him that penning flap copy was his favorite part of the gig. He was given his big break back in the ‘90s by Charlie Moss, a legend of the Mad Men era. A writer at heart, he’s been helping big brands find their voice ever since.
Highlights of his McCann experience prior to teaming up with Danny include Nikon’s highly awarded “Picturetown,” creating “Priority: You” for the United States Postal Service and years of contributions to MasterCard’s “Priceless” campaign. In between, he produced notable work on everything from Coca Cola to NASDAQ.
A graduate of Amherst, Larry lives on a leafy street in Brooklyn with his wife Ruth and their daughter, Allison, when they are lucky enough to have her home from college. When he's not studying music in his free time, he's studying a restaurant menu.
